It may not end up being popular with the fanbase, but it would serve a purpose for a shorter 26 day season. ![]() If production needs a way to quickly get through numbers with some intense drama, The Right to Stay might be a solution that works. The Right to Stay challenge, on the other hand, does give players a chance to win their way into the game. Fans will remember Wanda Shirk and Jonathan Libby being sent away on the first day of Palau after not being picked in a vote. Survivor has, of course, booted contestants off on day one before. Immediately upon the game starting, players were put into a competition, and the losers were kicked off of the show. Not only will the next few seasons (at the very least) not feature a central theme and be shorter, production has a chance to really throw some stuff at the wall and see what sticks.
